Moriarty Police say a supposed threat made towards Moriarty High School is nothing to be concerned about.
Moriarty superintendent says the threat was in regards to a shooter being at Moriarty High School Friday morning.
The superintendent says there was no actual threat posted, only a rumor of a threat that started on social media Thursday evening.
School officials turned it over to police. Police say after investigating, they found no credible threat.
School will continue as usual, but there will be a heavier police presence.
If parents keep their kids at home, the superintendent says it will be considered an excused absence.
