ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police say a man with a gun was secretly living on the University of New Mexico campus.
Police caught him after reports of damage to Northrop Hall. A utilities crew found homeless people had been living inside the lecture hall, including 46-year-old Salomon Gallegos.
Police say Gallegos had a shotgun and told police he was “high as a kite.” Turns out the gun was reported stolen, and Gallegos should not have even had one because he was a convicted felon.
