Police investigate house fire, shots fired in northwest Albuquerque

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Witnesses say a fight among roommates is what prompted a near shooting and fire at a northwest Albuquerque home overnight.

It happened after 10:00 Sunday night near Second Street and Montano.

Firefighters put out the fire, but the home was extremely damaged.

KRQE News 13 cameras also captured a bullet hole in a car near the house.

APD and AFD are not releasing much information, but the mother of the man who lives there claims her son’s roommate pulled a gun on him then set the house on fire.

“His roommate’s always been very quiet, very mellow,” says the man’s mother.

KRQE News 13 will provide more information as it becomes available.
