Police arrest pair of Valencia County burglary suspects

BOSQUE FARMS, N.M. (KRQE) – A man wanted for burglarizing homes in Valencia County and shooting at a mother and her kids has been arrested.

Bosque Farms Police have been looking for Carlos Castillo since the beginning of the month. They have linked him and a woman named Rocci Lortz to at least a dozen burglaries in the county.

Lortz was arrested shortly after the crime, but she bonded out the next day.

Deputies got a tip Tuesday night that Castillo was at an apartment complex in Rio Communities. They found him and Lortz, who police say he was with.

Lortz is now charged with harboring a fugitive along with burglary charges.

Castillo is charged with burglary and aggravated assault for the shooting, along with other charges.
