Police arrest man accused of killing stepfather


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police have made an arrest in a two year old murder case.

Timothy Mims, 27, is accused of killing his former stepfather for allegedly molesting his sister when she was a child.

Police say Mims gunned down Verner Thomason Halloween night of 2014 on Central Avenue between Charleston and Grove.

Police say Thomason had a history of alleged child exploitation.
