A suspect who attacked utility workers over the noise they were making, then caused an hours-long standoff, has been arrested.

The Water Authority says the employees were doing routine sewer maintenance Tuesday morning near Broadway and Trumbull.

They say that’s when 31-year-old Eric Mojarro approached them and hit one of them with the butt of a gun.

Albuquerque Police say Mojarro then barricaded himself in a home nearby.

He was arrested after several hours.

The worker who was hit was not seriously hurt.
