ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police arrested a 14-year-old they say killed a man by hitting and dragging him with an SUV.

Matthew Jaramillo faces an open count of murder in the death of 46-year-old Richard Sisneros

A criminal complaint says Jaramillo was driving a stolen SUV last Friday when he picked up a prostitute off Central and Drove to an apartment complex on Virginia near Wyoming to ditch it in the parking lot.

Jaramillo told police Sisneros yelled at him to leave. He claims he tried, but Sisneros was standing in his way, so he ran him over.

The crime was caught on surveillance.

According to the criminal complaint, Jaramillo dragged Sisneros down the street trying to get him off the SUV.  Sisneros died from his injuries the next morning.

Police say they were able to identify Jaramillo as a suspect when they found a vehicle involved in another crime. Officers say they interviewed people at the home, where that vehicle was found.

They told police Jaramillo stayed there the night he allegedly ran Sisneros over, and he admitted killing him.
