Police: Albuquerque father accused of shooting daughter’s ex-boyfriend in leg

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police are investigating a shooting that happened in northeast Albuquerque off Juan Tabo.

Police say the shooting, which happened just after midnight Thursday, happened when a father shot his daughter’s ex-boyfriend in the leg several times after an altercation.

The ex-boyfriend is currently being treated for his injuries at a local hospital and is expected to survive.

It is unknown if or what charges might be filed against the shooter, but police say he is cooperating in the investigation.
