A fight between two adults spilled onto the West Mesa High School campus Tuesday afternoon, causing a school lockdown.

West Mesa’s principal says the fight broke out across the street, and one of the adults chased the other into the school.

Students were put in a shelter-in-place until police arrived.

One of the adults was taken into custody. Police are still looking for the other.

Witnesses reported seeing a gun, but police never found one.
