ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police responded to a crash early Wednesday morning involving a stolen motorcycle.
Police say they were dispatched to the 1000 block of Vista Grande Drive NW around 3:00 a.m., where they found a motorcycle that had crashed into a wall.
Two people were riding on the motorcycle and are both said to have sustained critical injuries.
Police say the driver succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The other rider was transported to a local hospital and is listed to be in critical condition.
During their investigation, officers discovered that the motorcycle was stolen.
No word yet on the identities of the drivers.
Vista Grande Drive NW near the crash site was shut down following the crash.
