Poets speak on Lowrider culture in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  Poets let the words fly at the Museum of New Mexico.

Levi Romero, director of Chicana and Chicano Studies at the University of New Mexico, led a poetry slam on Sunday.

Young poets focused on Lowrider culture in New Mexico.

The event was part of the “Lowriders, Hoppers, and Hot Rods: Car Culture of Northern New Mexico” exhibit.
