PNM partners with local non-profit to help homes go green

News

PNM has partnered with a non-profit to prepare local kids for future careers in green energy.

Thanks to a PNM Centennial Grant, kids in Santa Fe Youth Works Program helped weatherize and retrofit 36 low-income homes with energy efficient product earlier this month.

Thirteen kids were awarded a certification from the Energy Smart Academy at Santa Fe Community College.

PNM says it is the first step to achieving a career with the company and creating an interest in green energy in the younger generation.
