Drone racing is back at the Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.
Sunday was Drone Discovery Day with individual racing completions where pilots could fly quad-copter drones through gates, flags and other obstacles.
This weekend’s events are a way to engage people of all ages into the world of frowns and all they have to offer.
“Beyond pretty pictures though, what we’re looking to do here is really highlight the fun that is drone racing,” says Jesse Sanson, professional drone pilot.
The Balloon Museum says it will even host monthly first-person view drone racing events on the third weekend of every month.
