The ABQ BioPark has announced Thursday that several finishing touches are being completed as part of the upcoming Penguin Chill exhibit.
A mural has been completed for the exhibit that was designed by MRWM Landscape Architects and built and installed by Pascettil Steel, which donated part of the materials and labor. The New Mexico BioPark Society says that dozens of other donors have made contributions to the exhibit and will be recognized at interacting learning stations, sculptures and viewing auditoriums.
To support the Penguin Chill exhibit, people can purchase mural tags, which from a distance look like hundreds of wiggling penguins. The custom metal tags feature personal engravings and can be ordered by making a $100 donation.
Anyone who orders a tag before the end of April will have the engravings in place by opening day. Additional exhibit elements can still be sponsored including the “Ice Core Sampling Station” at $1,000 and a $250,000 outdoor event track
