A new dinosaur species has been discovered by paleontologists at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.

Researchers determined that bones collected 20 years ago in southern Arizona are that of a Ceratopsid.

The honed dinosaur is 73 million years old and is one of the few dinosaurs named from Arizona.

The findings were published in a bulletin that details what the team of scientists know about the creature.

It was 11-feet long and weighed an estimated 1,500 pounds and is in the same genus as the widely-known Triceratops.

A display of the new Ceratopsid at the museum is possible in the future.
