Over 100 antelope relocated to more natural habitats

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – More than 100 antelope are settling into their new homes after being relocated.

Game and Fish recently trapped the animals on a northern New Mexico ranch. About half of the animals were moved to the Santa Ana Pueblo. The other 60 were relocated to the Capitan Mountains near Roswell.

Officials say by moving them they will thrive in a more natural habitat.
