FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – An organ donor who helped save five lives is being honored in a unique way.
Jasper Yazzie, 35, died after a crash in September of 2014. His decision to register as a donor saved his uncle’s life, gave sight to two people, and is helping many more through tissue donation.
Wednesday, San Juan Regional Medical Center partnered up with New Mexico Donor Services to decorate a floragraph in his honor. A floragraph is a memorial portrait created with flowers.
It will make its debut in next year’s Rose Parade.
