Open house at Trinity Site to be held Saturday

One of two open houses at the Trinity Site is happening on Saturday.

The site is where Los Alamos scientists tested the world’s first atomic bomb in 1945.

Visitors can take a quarter mile walk to ground zero where the bomb was detonated.

There will also be a shuttle bus ride to The Ranch House where scientists assembled the plutonium core to the bomb.

The site closes at 3:30 p.m.
