A dog owner is facing criminal charges after Animal Welfare officers had to rescue a Husky out of a hot car.

Tuesday afternoon, officers were called to an area off Lomas.

They say they found the Husky locked in a bus, while temperatures inside had climbed to 110 degrees.

APD officers helped them get the dog out.

Animal Welfare says the Husky is being held in protective custody.
