A new report shows Alzheimer’s is on the rise in New Mexico.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 41,000 New Mexicans are currently living with the disease. That’s an increase from 39,000 people just a year ago.
It says the figure is expected to rise to 53,000 New Mexicans by 2025. Meanwhile, the number of unpaid family caregivers has risen to 108,000 in the state.
