North Valley Library to be renamed

Bernalillo County is renaming the North Valley Library after a local Chicano literature icon.

The library will be named after Rudolfo Anaya who’s most famous works include “Bless Me Ultima” and “The Legend of Llorona”.

Anaya is known for exploring New Mexico’s Hispanic Culture.

He also received he National Humanities Medal in 2016.

The renaming event will happen Thursday, March 15 at 11 a.m.
