No free summer movies in Roswell

There will be no free summer movies in Roswell this summer.

MainStreet Roswell has announced the cancellation of their program saying the cost has become too great for the city.

Officials say the program costs more than $12,000 a year, which covers everything from licensing fees to paying city crews who work it.

City councilors voted Wednesday night to continue support of the annual UFO Festival which is also a MainStreet Roswell event.
