New Mexico Department of Veteran Services is joining forces with Vietnam vets from Santa Fe to build a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
The half-scale version of the Washington D.C. wall will be located in Angel Fire alongside the Vietnam Memorial Chapel and State Veterans Cemetary.
Around 400 names displayed on the original are from New Mexico. The groups are working to raise an estimated $300,000 for the construction.
