Niños and Teeños performers promote Flamenco Kids Camp and Festival Flamenco!

The National Institute of Flamenco offers a chance for kids to learn dance, song, percussion, and literacy / Spanish language skills at their upcoming Flamenco Kids Camp. They also have workshops for all ages and levels, including a beginners’ intensive designed for absolute beginners.

Children ages 6-12 attend kids camp, and they also offer classes for younger children during the Summer at the conservatory.

Flamenco Kids Camp is held at Tierra Adentro charter school in the Sawmill district, with a free performance at the Kimo Theatre on June 15.

Festival Flamenco workshops and performances are held on the UNM Campus (Carlisle Gym, Rodey Theatre, Theatre X), the National Hispanic Cultural Center, and Tablao Flamenco Albuquerque at Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town.
