This week’s Pet of the Week honors goes to Franklin, an 18-month-old Catahoula Hound mix who is ready to begin to live life, unchained as a treasured part of a loving family.
Franklin was once chained and forgotten, the chain so tight, it became deeply embedded into his neck and became infected.
Somehow, Franklin managed to break free and was picked up by Valencia County Animal Control, who then reached out to NMDOG for help.
NMDOG scooped Franklin up from and took him directly to the vet so he could receive the medical care he needed.
Franklin is a very good boy.
He does great with other dogs, he loves all humans he meets and his adventurous spirit is always ready to soar.
Franklin is available for adoption through NMDOG and he is in need of a foster home.
