MostWanted K-9 is a non-profit training group that works to train K-9 search teams to international standards.
They provide the search dog capability to the Rio Grande Basin Heavy Technical Rescue Team which is comprised of members from Sandoval County, Rio Rancho and Corrales Fire Departments.
The dogs are taught to search for lost or injured people in many different environments such as mountain, Bosque, and mesa as well as disaster scenes, buildings, collapsed rubble.
They are also trained to find deceased persons and human remains, allowing them to assist law enforcement in solving cases.
In 2019 MostWanted K-9 will be focusing on training and certifications for KT (5-year-old German Shepherd female) and JJ (20-month-old German Shepherd male).
Some of these will require travel out of state, so there are additional expenses beyond the course/certification fees.
