Some new University of New Mexico regents are being asked to bring back sports teams that were cut.

The board has five new regents appointed by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who promised to bring back men’s soccer, women’s beach volleyball, and men’s and women’s skiing.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, regents received a letter on Monday asking them to take action their next meeting.

Those sports will end in June unless the new regents take action.
