News Briefs

Two New Mexico kids are being recognized for their volunteer service.

KRQE News 13 reported on Mia Herrera’s work at Bosque School earlier this year that earned her the “Prudential Spirit of Community Award.”

Sunday night, another student from New Mexico, Hannah Johnson, also received the award during a ceremony in Washington D.C. Hannah started a project in Angel Fire to warn people about dangerous weather conditions and collected supplies for crews battling a wildfire.
