State considers revoking Student Athlete Headquarters Academy’s charter

News Briefs

The State Education Department is considering a revocation of the charter of the Student Athlete Headquarters Academy.

The school located in Albuquerque near Lead and Maple is accused of failing to comply with the reporting requirements.

The state has already suspended its charter.

A public meeting will be held next week for input, and for the school to respond and tell the state what it’s doing to remedy the situation.

The school focuses on performance training and sports nutrition, but is still required to provide the basics of education.
