A bill has been reintroduced to bring healthier food to Native American communities. Senator Tom Udall is one of several Democrats sponsoring legislation that would allow tribes to administer programs.

They say Tribal Government is better at knowing the needs of nutrition for the youth as opposed to federal agencies. Under the new law, tribes could implement a number of programs, including ones that provide children with free school lunch and breakfast.
