Report: Gila Cliff dwellings generated nearly $5 million in local economy

A new report shows the impact made by the Gila Cliff dwellings in Southwestern New Mexico. The National Park Service says more than 79,000 people visited the National Monument last year, which created an economic impact of $4.7 million, supporting 71 jobs in the area.

Earlier in the week, officials announced White Sands generated $37 million for the economy.
