A fire coalition team is holding a public meeting to discuss the strategy to protect the Santa Fe Watershed.
The Watershed sits in the Sangre de Cristo mountains outside of the city.
A major fire in that area could put Santa Fe’s water supply in danger.
The coalition which was formed in 2015, is working to reduce the fire risk but plans to think or hold prescribed burns have come under fire from some groups.
The meeting will be the evening of July 9, at the Francis Abeyta building in Santa Fe.
