Public meeting for SW Jemez Mountains Forest Restoration Project

The public is invited to a meeting being held to discuss the Southwest Jemez Mountains Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Project.

The project is an effort to restore forest ecosystems and to improve resilience to issues such as forest fires, insects, climate warming and diseases. The meeting will be on March 28 and 29 and will cover topics such as project updates, archaeological resources and socioeconomic impacts.

The meeting will take place on Thursday at the Santa Fe Community Collge in the Jemez Rooms from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday, the meeting will be held in the Santa Fe National Forest’s Supervisor’s Office from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
