Pecos Conservation Project receives donations from energy companies

Oil and gas companies are donating money to help protect wildlife in southeast New Mexico. The Pecos Conservation Partnership and the major companies are contributing $5 million to conservation projects.

Much of the funding will towards restoring and preserving habitats, grasslands, and species in the Pecos River. The project would enhance more than 500,000 acres in Chaves and Eddy Counties.
