Orangutan Awareness lets ABQ BioPark visitors chat animal conservation

News Briefs

The ABQ BioPark wants to educate visitors on orangutan extinction at their Orangutan Awareness Celebration.

On November 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. discovery stations, facts, orangutan history, and craft making will all be taking place at the orangutan habitat to educate the public on the animal’s disappearance from the wild.

A special chat will occur at 11 a.m. with an enrichment toss following at noon.

While there, visitors will be able to say hello to the BioPark’s five Sumatran orangutans which are critically endangered in the wild.
