New Mexico firefighters deployed to help fight Wyoming wildfire

News Briefs

New Mexico firefighters are helping out a neighbor to our north battle a wildfire.

Three members of Carlsbad Fire took a brush truck to Wyoming last week where they’re trying to contain the 48,000 acre Roosevelt Fire about 30 miles south of Jackson.

They could be out there for another week.

CFD has been deployed about a dozen times this fire season, helping out in Montana, Washington, Oregon and around New Mexico.
