Los Alamos Labs waste facility reopens after closing in 2014

News Briefs

Los Alamos National Lab officials say one of its facilities is back open after five years.

A special indoor facility for radioactive waste closed in 2014 after questions about its ability to withstand a large earthquake.

The lab made some revisions to address the concerns.

The facility sent out its first shipment this week.
