Local tree health to be discussed at Taos council meeting

News Briefs

The town of Taos is working to boost local tree health.

The community’s “Tree Board” tells the Taos News, the town has more than 6,000 trees representing dozens of species. Now, its mission is to help those trees thrive, train the next generation of arborists, and boost the number of new trees in town.

The board will share its plan at Tuesday night’s town council meeting. Community members interested in conservation efforts are encouraged to attend.
