Local data firm partners with startup to offer coding apprenticeships

An Albuquerque data science company is helping the next generation of programmers get a leg up.

The firm RS21 is offering apprenticeships to graduates from the local startup program “Cultivating Coders,” which runs a coding boot camp for high schools.

RS21 has pledged to take on two to five apprentices a year beginning at $15 an hour.

Those behind the program say the idea is to invest in more homegrown tech professionals and give them incentives to keep their talent here in the community.
