Improvements coming to railroad hub in Santa Teresa

News Briefs

A $20 million upgrade is coming to a railroad cargo hub in Santa Teresa. State officials announced the project by the Union Pacific Railroad at the Santa Teresa Intermodal Terminal and refueling station.

The investment will mean more shipments and less downtime for customers waiting for merchandise. Container blocks will be added to passing trains faster and more efficiently.

The station debuted in 2014 as a place to sort and move cargo along routes.
