Higher than average flu activity reported in New Mexico

News Briefs

The flu season is far from over. In fact, New Mexico is experiencing higher than average numbers.

The Health Department says flu activity here is the second highest in the country. Officials say hospitalizations of children ages 4 and younger are especially high, while overall hospitalizations are double what other states are experiencing.

They say it’s still not too late to get a flu shot, especially if you are at higher risk of getting sick.
