Former gold and silver exchange owner pleads guilty to tax evasion

News Briefs

The owner of an Albuquerque gold and silver exchange is facing up to five years behind bars.

David Castle was indicted of federal gun charges last year after a 2014 raid at his business on Menaul near Louisiana by IRS special agents.

Last week, he pleaded guilty to hiding income from the IRS by setting up bank accounts for bogus businesses and making deposits for the gold and silver exchange there.
