Federal water managers develop plan for Rio Grande

News Briefs

Federal water Mmanagers are developing a plan for the Rio Grande for the rest of the year.

Officials gathered Thursday afternoon in Albuquerque to go over forecasts and predictions for how much water will be released from reservoirs.

This comes a year after record-low flows threatened to leave the Rio Grande dry through Albuquerque. However, officials say this winter’s snowpack should help produce a good spring runoff.
