New Mexico is pushing forward with energy-saving upgrades to its buildings in Santa Fe.
The General Service Department announced plans to invest $32 million on energy-saving projects. Plans include solar panels in 19 buildings.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has already dedicated $20 million on the project and the state is looking to borrow the remaining money from the New Mexico Finance Authority.
Officials say savings could be more than $1 million a year.
