Conservation groups hope to save southern Colorado ranch

News Briefs

Conservation groups are raising funds to save a ranch in southern Colorado.

The Crazy French Ranch covers 30 square miles near the New Mexico border.

It’s been up for sale for years, and is home to elk, deer, black bears, mountain lions and bobcats.

Now, conservation groups have reached a deal with the trust for public land and the nature conservancy to buy and protect it, but the groups need to raise $11 million to make it happen.
