APS unveils new system to communicate with high school families

Albuquerque Public Schools is unveiling a new system to communicate with high school families. 

Starting next week, parents and guardians will receive text messages from the district. 

The initial welcome message will go out next Wednesday. Truancy and attendance messages will begin May 1. 

The district hopes to expand text messaging to all grade levels in the upcoming school year.
