A Texas man accused of drunkenly driving into opposite lanes of traffic and causing a fatal crash will stay behind bars until trial. A judge ruled to keep 41-year-old Daniel Medina of El Paso locked up based on his prior DWIs.

State Police say Medina was headed south in the northbound lanes of I-25 in Las Cruces in late April, colliding with and injuring the driver. A motorist then hit the wreck and died.
