$5 million grant will help New Mexico recruit teachers

A $5 million grant will help recruit help recruit New Mexico teachers over the next five years. 

The Three Rivers Education Foundation received the money to help find and train future teachers. 

It allows participants to work alongside a mentor for one year while completing an online master’s degree at Eastern New Mexico University. 

Partnering school districts include Bloomfield, Clovis, Farmington, Taos, Cuba and Central Consolidated.
