ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – For students, it’s never too early to think about the upcoming school year. That’s why a new online program aims to teach students the importance of summer learning.
The New Mexico Connections Academy will be launching its new online option for students in grades K-8.
Craig Lockwood, assistant principal from New Mexico Connections Academy, along with Trinity Wheeler, 9th grader at New Mexico Connections Academy, joined KRQE’s This Morning Team to discuss the program. Watch above.
Lockwood explains that students typically score lower on standardized tests at the end of summer vacation than they do on the same tests at the beginning of summer.
The new online program will open this fall and enrollment is open for both schools.
