A Republican who lost her bid for New Mexico’s Congressional District 2 seat is not ruling out ‘further legal action’ to contest the results.
State Rep. Yvette Herrell announced on Facebook that her team is examining copies of absentee ballots and other documents.
Herrell says her team is looking into ‘various reports of inconsistencies.’
Democrat Xochitl Torres Small defeated Herrell after absentee ballots in Dona Ana County put her over the top.
Herrell is still refusing to concede and has made claims of election irregularities.
A state judge allowed Herrell’s campaign to inspect the absentee ballots.
